For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Psalm 139:13-14

2 months old

Hannah, you are 2 months old.
2 months old-June 19, 2012

You are 11 pounds 6 ounces, and 22 inches long.  You wear a size 1 diaper and 3 months clothes.  You have started getting 3 bottles of breastmilk everyday since Mommy went back to work.  You have 7 ounces in each bottle and drink every drop of it, you also nurse in the morning and at night, for about 30 minutes.
 8 weeks old

You like sitting up with your Boppy and you still like your swing too.  You don't really like being on your mat, you are ok for about 5 minutes, then you start crying, but we have to leave you on your belly so you can build up your muscles and be strong. You have started holding your head up better and for longer periods of time, and you are trying to sit up by yourself.    At the doctor today, you were on your belly holding your head up, and you rolled over, not once but twice. We were so excited that both of us saw you roll over for the first time. You are such a sweet baby. We are so blessed to have you.

It's Time...to go back to work :(

Hannah, you will be 8 weeks old on Thursday, and I can't believe it's already been 8 weeks, and that it's time for Mommy to go back to work.  This is a sad week for Mommy, I love my job, but I would love to stay home with you all day.  I know we wouldn't be able to ride up and down the road with Grammy and Dee Dee like we have been, but it would be worth the sacrifice to be at home with you.  This is something I want to share not only with you, so that you will know how faithful God has been in our lives from day one, but I want to share this with everyone that reads your blog.  Mommy and Daddy have had your name on the waiting list at A Child's Place, the hospital daycare almost since we found out we were pregnant with you, in August of 2011 and when you were born they said they didn't have a spot for you yet.  So we went on the hunt for a different daycare for you.  No luck. Mommy had been worried ever since they told us there wasn't an opening that she might have to stop working, and Mommy and Daddy were very unsure if this was the time God had appointed for that to take place, so we prayed, and prayed.  On Sunday June 3, during church we were having a prayer service, and God told me you would have a daycare to go to, and I wouldn't have to quit my full-time job, since I'm not able to stay home with you right now.  That Tuesday I called a daycare that had a spot coming available that week, I just wept that God had opened a door, I think it was to show me how faithful HE is and to make me trust HIM more.  Daddy, you and I went to the daycare that Thursday to visit, but we didn't feel that was the place God had for you.  That very afternoon, they daycare we wanted for you called and you have a spot, and can start in July, until then Grammy, Pa and Mrs. Doris (Dee Dee) are going to keep you. You will be almost 11 weeks old when you start daycare.  Which is also what Mommy prayed for, because Mommy wants you to have had some vaccines before you went to school (daycare), but your daycare is more like school, they said you would be learning even at 11 weeks old. Mommy and Daddy have to go meet your teachers before you can start.  I just want you to know Mommy loves you very much and prays the day will come soon that she is able to stay home with you, but for now Mommy has to go back to work. You being born has been such a blessing to our family.  I love you!

Sweetest little girl ever!

A trip to see your family

Hannah,  you had your first trip to see your cousins and you great-great aunt.  You, Grammy, Cousin Sandra, and I went to Yadkinville this weekend to see our family.  We went to see your Great Great Aunt Ann, and Cousins Kathryn and Dennis.  We had a fun time and Kathryn cooked us a GREAT lunch.  It was a good ride up there and you did really well, but as soon as we go to Kathryn and Dennis' house, you spit up ALL over your outfit,  thankfully Mommy was prepared and learned her lesson about taking you off somewhere without any extra clothes.  Then of course you were hungry and tired.  Aunt Ann, Kathryn and Dennis said you were just beautiful and loved the visit.  Sandra said it was bad we would travel to see Kathryn and Aunt Ann but we hadn't even taken you to Kinston to see her yet.  You will come to learn Sandra is funny and she will get you laughing in a heartbeat.  We had a great trip, but you are still exhausted, you have been fussy and you aren't a fussy baby usually, and you have been sleeping a lot too, that's how I know that long trip wore you out.

Hannah's first beach trip

Hannah, you went to the beach Memorial Day weekend.  The weather was too bad to take you on the beach, but you made it to the pool, and then it started raining, so you spent most of the time inside, which was fine with you and Mommy and Daddy. You got to visit with Ms Doris (Dee Dee), Grammy, Ms Nancy, Madeline, Mary Wesley, Suzanne, and Mr Frank.
