Hannah's First Trip to Disney World

Hannah, you had your first trip to Disney this month.  We all had a good time, except when we all had the stomach virus.  Thanks to the kids at daycare who gave it to you! :)

Other than that we had a good time, you LOVED seeing all the characters. I think Pluto was your favorite, you tried to eat his whiskers.

On Monday, the day Mommy had the stomach virus,  we went to Animal Kingdom.  We rode the Safari and saw a lot of animals, then we watched the Lion King and saw the Jammin Jingle Jungle Parade.  Then we ate dinner at Whispering Canyon at The Wilderness Lodge. 

On Tuesday, we had breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch at The Polynesian Resort.

Grand Floridian Gingerbread House.  This is all handmade and edible.

It is Hawaiian themed and we all had flowered leis when we checked in, just like in Hawaii.  You just chewed on yours, good thing the flowers weren't real!  After that, Daddy went back to the resort and stayed in the bed all the rest of the day because he had the stomach virus and so did Grammy.  You and Mommy went off with Mrs Rhonda, Mr Mike and Ella.  We went to the Contemporary Resort, where they ate breakfast and met them and then went to the Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house.  We walked around and then we came back to the resort and went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  That was fun, it snowed on Main Street, USA you just looked around like you couldn't believe what was going on, and you just loved the parade, but you fell asleep before the fireworks and slept through the entire firework display. 

Wednesday we had breakfast with Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck.  Mrs Rhonda, Mr Mike and Ella also joined us.  Mommy, Daddy Grammy and Hannah were all done with the stomach virus, so we all got to enjoy some Disney food!  The breakfast was at the Cape May Cafe, at Beach Club Resort.  We rode the bus to Hollywood Studios and then took a boat to the Beach Club Resort.  Then we went and walked around the boardwalk and then took the boat back to Hollywood Studios.  Ms Rhonda, Mr Mike and Daddy convinced Mommy to ride Aerosmith's Rocking Roller Coaster....Mommy wasn't so sure about it, but in the end it was ok.  Mrs Rhonda and Mommy got us fast passes to ride it while Mr Mike and Daddy were on the Tower of Terror. (I rode this once and it was the first and the last time for me riding it. The car goes up and down and your hindparts is NEVER on the seat).  We had dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Thursday was a great day, we were able to get into Magic Kingdom early before we were scheduled to have breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table.  We did Enchanted Tales with Belle, and rode Voyage of the Little Mermaid, met Alice in Wonderland, and the White Rabbit and rode the teacups before we went to meet Cinderella.  We had breakfast with Princess Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Ariel.  Then we rode the carousel, Dumbo, and met Daisy Duck.  Then, Mommy and Daddy rode Space Mountain. After we left Magic Kingdom we went to Epcot and ate dinner and walked around some of the countries.

8 months old

Hannah, You are 8 months old! 

You weigh about 20 pounds and are wearing a size 3 diaper and some 9 month clothes, but mostly 12 month clothes. 

You went to your first Carolina Basketball Game this month,  UNC played ECU.

 You and Ella got to meet Woody Durham (the voice of the Tarheels, he retired but was a broadcaster for a LONG time for Carolina)

You took your first trip to Disney World.

 You love to eat, pretty much anything we will give you. Daddy gave you a cookie while we were at Disney World and you LOVED it, and wanted more. 

 

You are such a big girl.  You went to Disney for your 8 months birthday and you started crawling while we were down there.  Now you are EVERYWHERE.   No place is safe to leave you because you don't stay in one place for very long.  This makes getting ready in the mornings very difficult. 

 You giggle and try to bite Daddy's nose when he plays with you

You like puffs, but this was the first time you tried them and it was hanging out of your mouth.

We had to move your crib down a few weeks ago because you started pulling up on it; just to your knees and you think it's funny to try and pull up to try to get out of your crib.  You will pull up to your knees, but not all the way up on your feet, but you will stand up if we hold onto you.  You are pulling up on the couch, coffee table, pretty much anything you can get your hands on. 

Hannah,  Mommy and Daddy can't believe how big you are and how much you change everyday.  God has really blessed us with you.  We love you SugarBear!
