Hadleigh Elyse Ayscue was born on Monday March 17 at 1:03 am. We had gone to church like any other Sunday, and I was very ready for her to be born. I was worried I wouldn't go into labor on my own and I would have to be induced again like I was with Hannah. We asked the pastor to have prayer with us that I would go into labor on my own. I came home from church and cleaned the whole house, then I started having contractions about 2:30, they were irregular but pretty strong. I called the physician on call at about 5:30 and she told me to come into the hospital, by the time I got checked in and into triage I was having contractions every 5 minutes, and was 3 centimeters dilated. The physician was in the operating room, and told me to go walk for an hour at the hospital and to come back to triage. I walked until 7:00 pm and she met me back at triage and I was 4 centimeters, so she admitted me to the "A" side (who hoo) that's the good side of labor and delivery, she came in and broke my water about 8:00 pm. I asked for my epidural as soon as I got into my room, but the anesthesiologist had some kind of emergency so it was about 10 when I got my epidural. I got a little nap after my epidural and around midnight I told the nurse I felt like I needed to push and she checked and I was 9.5 centimeters and she called the new doctor on call and she came to the room and I pushed 3 rounds and the last time she told me to lay my legs flat and to pull them back and to really push, I thought something must have been wrong, so I pushed with everything in me and Hadleigh was born, the cord was wrapped around her neck and she wasn't crying when she came out. Anthony cut her umbilical cord and they immediately took her over to the warmer. Anthony went over there with her and the nurses had to give her a little bit of oxygen because she was breathing all that great. Our pediatrician told us when he came to see her the next morning that it was because she came so quickly that all the fluid didn't get pushed out of her lungs. She was fine and nothing else had to be done for her, praise the good Lord above!!!
